Wow, so many kind and helpful replies. :D

Sandy, Jozvex, giacob, jurx & Pierre, thankyou. Yes all with Blender ;)

Vodka79, just sky dome @80 and 255,255,255, yes machine specs as in my signature.

Sunlightrocker, I'm sorry to hear that you don't have enough time.

Herve, thanks I was thinking about this already, if you check out the new multilight demo the BSDF layer is reflecting when the mxi is turned off. Will work on it some more.

Cheers Xlars.

Multilight render I ran last night. Nothing really different, except the LEDs on machines are not emitting in this version. Hence less noise. (Lighting setup tweaked by hand after render.)

All I can say is that your rendering is as unappealing as the original photo.

Amazing work, I hope you win. :!:

ok ok.. I was just thinking that with a flash taken photo, you'd find more glare on the screens...and btw, maybe put different images.. I mean very different... what you think..? maybe even an almost black screen..?

anyway, you would have show me this "photo" before.. I would never have smell 3D.... ok, you win... :D

misterasset, :)

Herve, I've changed the setting slightly and have a new version rendering now. I've gone for the grey/green screen in the bottom render, but with a weightmapped colour map for the image. Will see how it turns out.

MarkM, thankyou.

Updates - Mostly object positioning, camera matching and material progress.

the photo with maxwell~wireframe overlay has got to be one of the most impressive displays of camera matching I've seen in a long while. You're only off in some area by a small margin and if you'd never had posted that image I wouldn't have been able to catch those slight deviations! Awesome Tim!

I'll make this post a little more straight forward since my last one MIGHT have seemed mean.

Absolutely amazing.

The amount of work and quality in this image is mind blowing. I'm surprised it's only 1.9 million polys.
