Just a nice WIP image, still lots to do, queries, and ideas for madcap stunts are very welcome.

Scene has become a bit heavy; 27 million tri's, 12 gig ram at render... so I need to merge some objects, and maybe pack and go a version with smaller maps... but the main hurdle right now is arranging the scene to get a nice camera path, hopefully a single take, which captures some nice shots. I've got 360 degree camera freedom with this scene and can lift the camera quite high.

Also worth noting that the blue truck is basically the sketchup pickup model with a lot of repair work, converted to quads etc. Quite surprising how accurate that sketchup file was...

Black fur is using the cylinder hair type, 30,000 c4d dynamic hairs x 10 clones, seems to render quickly, with a simple dark opaque material, the thing the fur is attached to is quite bendy so its moving about sometimes, it has point level MB, but the hair itself has no motion blur (c4d plugin limitation) but it probably wouldnt be helpful here, too much overhead for the reward, I guess.


I had to ditch the thin-sss, sunlight was too strong, it was looking weird, so now the inflatable thingy is just opaque.

Thanks, I downloaded this free tech demo last night called 'next car game' kind of similar thing to this in concept, awful car handling was a shame... Some of these stunt sims are frustratingly fun to 'drive' , would make a good game.. with real car physics, but prob no car damage unless you had a really fast pc.
