Skeleton straight out of Poser.

Shaders are straight wizard: milk, silicone gel, dark green car paint

I really like milk for rendering weird bleached white bones.

I modeled the tentacles myself.

Shaders are wizard: tentacles are silicone gel, and the liquid they are in is orange juice. The word is red wax.

IIRC the only difference in the 3 images is lighting.

OMG!
The milk and silicone gel skeletons look amazing!
Just drop the third one (dark green car paint) and make some composition out of the first two and you'll get some great Halloween stuff!
