Looks good Nico, .. keep rolling, the superhero business is pretty lucrative nowadays. :)

Curt .. Question .. Can you go back to modeling once you move into painting ? I didn't see an obvious way without losing the UV's. ??

Hi Chris,

Thanks! :)

Unfortunately you can't go back, to create the map the mesh is cut into pieces, but before I did I saved the pre-paint version

Yeah .. that's what I thought. I guess you have to take it to the finish line, .. even when you get itchy to start applying paint. Don't do it ... !

ps. Is that an original character ?

Really cool superhero!
(and a fast way to make eyes! )

The splitseam (caused by the UV cut) is of course extremely easy to remove with photoshop or similar, but it got me wondering.
If the mesh is split in half, how does Maxwell handle it if it's a lighttransmitting material like SSS or glass?
( from other threads I got the impression that it should work, singlesided surfaces, keeping track of normal direction...?)

I fixed that bij generating a larger uv map :)

Here is a render with a painted texture, and one with just the generated UV map:

So, is this a known issue?
