A few crits:
I don't like the cam angle. You can't even see the diamond.
The sun position is dead on center. It would be more interesting to see it at an angle.
If you need to keep this cam angle, I'd crop some of that grass out. It's too much.
The displacement triangles you are seeing are due to a mesh that is not correctly subdivided evenly. Does it have long triangles in it?
For the crowd, first I'd try a crowd texture. That would be easiest. Otherwise, get plenty of low poly people and scatter them?
