Hey Max,
Within rhino I ran the make2d command from the same view as the maxwell's camera, and export the 2d lines to illustrator. At the same time, I make the render of the camera model using maxwell. Them, place the maxwell render in Illustrator just below of the 2d lines. To adquire the toon look, I have vectorized maxwell's output using only 12 colors. There are lots of things i have in mind that i'm going to test next. In these images the results are vectors, which give me the possibility to print at any resolution i need using short render times. Hope now is more clear.

That's clever jespi :) i would not have thought of doing it like that. From your examples it looks like your wire and shaded views matches eachother. I see no misalignments there. I'm looking forward to see what your other ideas look like and how you resolved them. If i can come up with any solutions i will also post them here.

He used a filter in illustrator (I guess, or perhaps Photoshop) to reduce the amount of colors to 12 either by resaving to a web format or using special filters.

So, is this a known issue?
