Firstly, I like these types of comparison. It would be nice if the renders were organized side by side for comparison. All this scrolling up and down is making me dizzy
I have to say, IMHO, the m~r version have a better feel to them. Particularly in the reflections on the '"floor's" surface. It seems to me the most noise in the Fry renditions occurs at the reflections (in this case study anyways - I don't know much of how Fry performs in general to assume this is typical).
I can't put my finger on it but the M~R metal feels better to me. The only thing missing is the 'brushed' surfacing which shows up in the Fry renditions. I think it's important to have the M~R metal show a brushed surface. Depending on how you would achieve the 'brushing' there could be significant render time changes.
