This is a test I'm doing to see how Lightwave motion dynamics render in Maxwell. It's a diamond pendant on a chain just dropping by gravity. The lighting is very bad and the size of the chain is out of scale with the pendant. I'm going to fix those two things to start and see how good I can get this to look.

Thanks guys! Here's an update with some better lighting and even a texture mapped on to the background. I now have to retract my comments about textures crashing animations because this is proof that it works. There's still a lot to be improved with this scene, but it's exciting to make even this much progress with Maxwell animations.

what were your per frame rendering times? what's your hardware setup?

Thanks lebbeus,
The frame size is 600px by 420px and I set the render time for each frame to 10 min. Each frame was reaching sl10.3. My computer is a dual Xeon 3.2ghz on WindowsXP.

Very nice movement Josh.
Its very hard to get that kind of natural looking action going on.
