Lovely render, Hervé!

A lovely present to drink, too.

I've had two bottles of similarly aged wine -- neither nearly as interesting as yours. One of them barely had any label at all but the other was mostly intact. The bottles were -- indeed -- kind of encrusted in hardened dust. It didn't really brush off.

Apparently, there are special tools just for removing old corks. I wish I'd had one, because both of the bottles were something of a trial to open. We ended up running the wine through a strainer to get all the bits of cork out.

Thanks for the textures!
The dust on the second image is better, though I admit i've seldom seen such an old bottle. Light setup feels very natural: just a sunny day in the kitchen. Did you use HDRI?
About the glass, there is a set of these:

at my parent's home. I like the thin stem and simple shape. I made a quick model for test render, if someone is interested, it is downloadable here (LWO):

glad you like it... It was a sunny morning in the kitchen.. just sky from Maxwell, but with the windows facing North..

he he, your glass rocks... nice modeling... but after looking at many wine glasses (with wine in..) I noticed the miniscus is bigger (around 2mm) for cheap glasses... unlike in a crystal glass, where actually it is around 1,2mm.. have you noticed it..?

Thanks for the glass !!

Also, the wine branch name..Dubois.. a little photoshop.. oups.. Desbois..

Wow, the new noise is great!!! I'm glad that I mentioned :P

Now... what about the countertop?? it looks to noisy and too perfect, I would have rather a complete different material like granite

So, is this a known issue?
