Hi all,

This is a short clip of an animation I am working on. The foreground is blank as I intend to composite it with a detailed interior rendering of a condo.

The sun was animated by advancing the time of day the appropiate amount and creating a new .mxs from Cinamaxwell. Then a batch file was created to render in command line mode.

The clouds, waves and boat were painted by hand and animated in AfterEffects.

This will eventually just be the view out the window on an interior scene but I think it's worth sharing. Hope you enjoy.

Looks very good so far. Nice mood.

The sun it'self seems quite small though, similar to a meteor. Perhaps this is a Maxwell issue with the sun size? The sun always seems bigger during sunset/rise.

Thanks!

The sun does seem quite small. Applying a glare with a six blade diafragm and a noise obstacle map both increases the aparent size of the sun and gives a very realistic flare. I tried doing a flare in AfterEffects but it just looks like it does not belong. (Even considering that realism is not what I am after here) Maybe I can apply an effect in AE to increase the size.

Since I rendered multiple frames with a batch file applying the glare to all is not feasible. (Too many mxi files and too manual post.)

It will be a while before I have the foreground for this composite ready, but I'll post as I get this further.
