hey, thank you all for your comments. yep, the mat still needs tweaking, especially that diffuse map. switching from height to normal map as bump map helped a lot though.
mihai, about those spikes, I don't know. I kind of made them up and never really checked the actual chair :D

Man that is simply amazing in all aspects I'm convinced on all fronts. The material looks tops!!!!

Question did you model the rocker or is it available some where, I'm trying to design myself a desk and matching meeting table and have the shell models from HM but they are rubbish and don't even look like shells.

How crazy is that: "The table is maybe a little too reflective - but the mark in the carpet makes it very convincing". That's what I thought before I realized, that this is a photo. Must have to do with the amazing realism, people produce with this software.

:D thanks for the reference aitraaz. the shell looks a bit different, must find the time to update the model, as it is now it doesn't look really good.

actually I modeled this one a while back, it didn't take long and I always prefer to model my stuff from scratch. I perfectly know what you mean, still have to find a free model that doesn't suck.
