Is it ok to install the new plug-in while doing a current project. Will everything translate correctley? Thanks

Do it at your own risk if you're in the middle of a project now, but generally i'd say use the old one you're using now unless you're willing to take a chance and try.. you can always install the old one if you change your mind.

The plug-in should be safe to use on new projects and we'll try to address any issues that come up as quickly as possible. However, the old scene import has only been tested for a little over one week, so please exercise caution. It's best to try it first on a copy of the project.

This has been mentioned earlier, but it doesn't hurt to say it again: after opening an old scene with the new plug-in, save it and re-open it. This avoids a bunch of problems that are unfortunately introduced for the current session during the translation process.
