hello all,

I've been following Tom's tutorial on invisible emitters:

http://www.maxwellrender.com/forum/view ... hp?t=14872

and I've been creating them by adding a basic layer with the transmittance at white, and an Nd of 1, just like the doctor ordered.
The problem is though, in max they don't emit light unless I have the Transmittance below 255,255,255

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Josh.

ok,

So I've run a test scene, and it does seem to working, but not in the scene I was doing yesterday. Strange.

Also, I've noticed that if I make an emitter invisible by changing it's rendering properties, that multi-light doesn't work (ie, it's like it's not activated)

Oh, and I've also started to become concerned about my mental health. Talking to yourself is bad apparently.

Hi j_man,
Can you send me a simplified scene showing the problem you have?

ooh - Hi Tom,

I got it. It's becuase my emmiters are hidden behind AGS. 'elementary'

Thanks anyway.

Long live multi-light. Now if only I had somewhere to store that 3.9gig file...
