I might be asking a silly question but i cant seem to find a option to change the direction of north arrow when using maxwell sun setup.

have i missed it? or it it not possible to set this up in max.

I would rather not have to work in maxwell studio to set this up.

thanks for any suggestions.

north should be the top of your screen mate

don't think you can change it... you always assume the top to be north like in architectural location drawings.

Thanks everyone...(my fears were answered)

It would be great if they added this as a option like in the sun setup within max. Rotating the scene is a work around sure but if you are file linking to keep an updated model during design phases it becomes an issue of what orientation best fits the plans etc....and also if you got these from other sources.

I guess the solution is to bring it directly into Maxwell studio...although i have not actually tried it yet...and i cant rem if there is an option to change north direction in that also.

working in max I am sure is still preferred as we all get used to porting out our files....to studio..(just like the "good" old days of lightscape) wish the workflow were better for this, although im happy with the ease of the set up.....except for the sun and material issues people have been writing about.(within MAX)...maybe im just stuck in my old ways.

thanks
