The new Start-up dir solved only one problem... The other is the automatic update of texture paths in the MXM file. Without this, we can't have personalized material library. We have to be able to update the MXM from any library we get (M~W material site, other PC, a friend, etc...) and finally export the correct MXM file.
I hope we see this soon.

If you're using embedded materials and import a MXM file, the plug-in searches for the textures in the following places:
- at the exact location specified in the MXM file
- in the same directory as the .max file
- in the directories specified in the paths configuration dialog. This dialog can be accessed through the Customize -> Configure User Paths menu. Add any directories you need in the "External Files" tab.

If you're using referenced materials, no texture searching is performed. The next build of the plug-in will feature texture searching for this kind of materials too.
