I've noticed that placement of the camera when exporting from 3dsMAX to MXS moves just slightly from plug-in to plug-in. I don't know why this would happen. Before during a plug-in upgrade I've had cameras that were right next to a wall, and looked fine inside 3dsMAX, render out black because when it exported they were inside the wall. Don't know if that's your problem but it helps to give yourself a little buffer room.
