Is there any way to save my own maxwell 'renderer' tab settings (like, environment ones), so i can use them right away when i start max next time?

I already tried 'save presets' and save max scene as 'MaxStart.max', but with no sucess.

I know you tried "save presets" but, saving a new rendering preset at the bottom of the Render scene dialog box, just above the "Viewport" dropdown, and selecting the new preset from the list next time, works every time for me.

I'm wondering if this is a diffrent "save preset" then the one you tried.

thanks for your reply.
yes, it's the same 'save preset' you are talking about too.
the thing is, some of the settings are saved in the 'saved preset', like gmt offset and location. And others, like date and time, are not saved.
it seems like maxwell is reading system date and time, and apply it everytime we start max or reset the scene.

Humm, thats odd, I just tried saving the rendering preset (all categories) at 15hrs 9min and restored several min later and the saved time was restored...

Ah HA!! (I am testing and writing at the same time.)

I think I just figured it out.
when you are restoring the saved preset, the Maxwell "Environment Settings". Physical Sky Location date/time, is saved in the "Maxwell Renderer" category, NOT in "Environment".

I guess it always worked for me because I always have ALL the categories selected when I restore a preset.

Let me know if I am close.

nope .... it doesnt work for me....
i allways save all the categories too.

i'll test it again. If it works for you, it'll have to work for me too.

well.... it seems the problem is that i had saved my maxstart.max file with maxwell render assigned to the default render engine.
now i saved it as default scanline , then i saved my presets.... and now it works pretty good.
