I think I've found a bug with the 3DS Max plug-in, or maybe this is a well known problem. I saved all the Max materials in the scene to a Material Library. When I came back and tried to use the Max material from that Material Library in a different scene it new it was a Maxwell material, but it didn't have the path of the Maxwell material saved. Has anybody else had this problem?

Not to be impatient, but has anybody else encountered this at all?

Just nudging my topic again hoping someone has an answer. I'll post it over in the bugs section next if I still don't get a response.

Okay, it's been two more days since I last nudged this. Apparently there is no more "Bugs" section of the forum so I'll just keep repeating it here. Has anybody had this problem, is it a known bug, is it in the list of things to be fixed? Thanks.

Hi misterasset,

We can not reproduce your bug here, have anyone got a similar issue? but however we can say that the new Max plugin is already in testing phase and the enhancements are massive. We target to release it before Christmas.

Kind regards,

Juan

It happens here too.

From material editor (in max) I open the Material/map browser (max's), click scene and save the list of materials in scene as a .mat file (max's material library file). Then, in scene, make a new scene and go to mat editor (with no materials in it) and load the .mat file; the materials show in the browser, but when bringing them into the mat editor they have lost the path to the mxm file. (show .mxm)

Juan, thanks for responding. Hopefully this'll be one of the issues that is fixed in the next round of plug-in updates. It's not a horrible bug, just slightly annoying.

Fernando, glad to know I'm not the only one. Now I know it's not me doing something wrong.
