I'm trying to render an animation, so I selected the range of frames to be rendered (0-100) and I've chosen a folder for the mxs files to be stored in and a separate folder for the rendered images.

When I hit render, it creates all the mxs's, opens the renderer, and it all works fine until this happens ("error writing file..."):

And the thing is that it also dosen't save the rendered images. The render resolution is fairly small, 320x80px and render time set to 0.8 minutes and target sampling level 7.

oh, and it dosen't crash at all, I could let him go like this forever, but it dosen't save the renders.

If you have any idea on how this can be solved, please let me know, it will be much appreciated.

In my case, I have no problem with animation render.

IMO, your scene's material settiong is wrong.

at first, remove all materials and try again.

This is my first and last RC5 anim.

Thanks for the reply. But I managed to solve the problem, and it wasn't the materials. I just had to add ".jpg" to the file name of the output image.

Nice animation, looks like a kaleidoscope thingy.
