Yesterday I strated a rendering work with Maxwell(max plug in vers.)

before off duty.

But it was down when i came back.

Do you know why?

I have not the slightest.

Worked about 220MB data...

It was proceeding about 20Hrs,i think.

My sytem spec

Wow, your system spec is great.

but, I don't know why your system shut down.

Is your mxs file size 220MB?

That's not so big too.

I guess that your cooling system is problem.

Otherwise, maybe janitor shut off the power of your office.

I've encuntered the same problem some time ago: some times when I left my pc render during the night it just shut down.
Damn! this pc is new!

In the world of the computers nothing astonish me, above all if it is been involved microsoft.

Anyway, you can simply turn off the automatic update,without unplug your lan.

How about performing the automatic updates?
I had to install SP2 in one of my workstations to make the network work and as soon as i installed SP2 everything whent to hell. I pretty much had to reinstall windows in all of them and perfrom the same updates, so far so good, and no shut down with the exception of the typical out of nowhere suprise 3dsmax everynow and then.
Otherwhise by what i can see your system look pretty good and should not be giving you these problems, did you build it or bought it made. If you bought it made, then that would qualify for a pretty angry call to the manufacturer.

hmmm....What the F**k!!!!!!

Over 7,000 USD paid for this system.

I've had problems like this rendering animations over night. This is how I fixed it.

The power options in your control panel. Make sure the hard disks and system standbys are set to never. Even turn off the screen saver and simply turn off your monitor manually when you're away. Second, make sure there's nothing in the bios regarding energy star features. Athough great for conservation, they suck for taking down machines rendering. Finally check to see if your box has energy star in the control panel too and turn it off.

Hope this helps. It did for me.
