I know this has been compare before...but since I rendered them, I might just show them here...

I know I did the lighting extremely badly in maxwell.... but what i use is phyiscal sky, sun and due to too dark in the interior, i add a flash light on top of camera 2cm x 2cm

If anyone now how to improve the one in maxwell, please give advise..

I hate to say it but the Vray one does look good hehe, nahh just kidding nothing wrong with Vray.

Perhaps physical sky isn't the way to go with this scene, just using plane emitters would probably do the job just as well if not better.

Yes, the Vray image is better.
It would be nice if you uploaded the file so that others can give it a try in Maxwell. If it is up to 50 MB you can use http://www.rapidshare.de/

I personally like both images, but I think there's something wrong with the lighting setup in the maxwell image. Maybe you should use dielectrics in the curtains.The vray one has some artifacts in the top of the windows, big white splotches.

Thanks for the comments and concern.

The vray scene is using very low setting, that's why you can see the wrong lighting effect on top of the curtain. It took 1hr45min

If in high setting, it took about 4hrs. (I might upload it later, if any of you want)

IMO maybe this scene was more familiar with vray.

... the maxwell have a problem with the contrast
... but the maxwell glass is great and the vray glass is no glass
... a better setup could help for the Maxwell (blur on the ground, low burn value [0.1] and low gamma [1.5], less sss for the flower, ...)

Well if you want to make a comparison between renders, at the very least have the same lighting. The Vray one has light coming in from the other room, in Maxwell it's completely dark.

If the vray one was done with light panels at the windows then the maxwell one should be the same. When vray will have the physical sky they said they put in, then we can compare that.
