Looks like you need to get rid of the emmiters outside the bulb and use just the filament to light the scene.

Other than that you could dirty up the surface of the glass a bit to get that smudgy look... if you could specular/reflection map a dialectric.. from what I remember thats not available yet in Maxwell.

Hi,

the rendering is good, but the form of the glass bulb looks strange for me.

Bulb is very very good!

The glass shape part is a bit strange...but maybe is just me (and Micha).

Maybe the famous kitchen.hdr will help you to make it even better.

hhmm..how to create your rendering like your reference image:

1) use 2 planes / (ramps like) for backround. 1 grey - 1 blue.
2) try by using only the bulb light like your last test. Increase the emitter value more...
3) where did you find this image? if you created with a dif. renderer I am sure you can recreate it soon with maxwell... if it is just a pic from the web maybe it is better if you take your own physical and photograph it - so you know exactly the settings and enviroment around.
4)...I can give a try if you like...

once again amazing lamp and very nice model...

do you mind sharing it? :P

Cool close up. I think the reason your bulb looks a little weird is because you modeled the glass too thick....theres too much space between the outer glass and inner glass. You can see the difference in your reference photo.
