Thought I would try a realflow simulation in Maxwell to see how nice it looks. This is 60 minutes render. I'll let it run longer and update the image. This is rendered in the beta but I used sharpen in PS to make it clearer.

Nice image! BTW: I completely understand that you drink water instead of root beer ;-)

the people who invented root beer should go to jail....

Nice, although the jug look very big compared to other scene elements.

Out of interest - what mesh size are you using in RealFlow - I use a value of 0.02 + filtering + curvature optimising for a lot of my RealFlow mesh and a few holes appear which, if left unoticed, become very apparent when Rendered in Maxwell.

Yeh, the jug is large, I was trying to get the fluid to move smoother with a larger jug.

I use speed flattening alot in Realflow. I don't think I sized the collision distance and mesh sizes perfectly either. I use a very high fluid resolution though to make sure a nice fluid shape is calculated. Density is around 3500-5000. I also use a high poly mesh.

The image has been sharpened in PS. Oh I also noticed that I have to apply the MXI every time to the monitor screen. It does not save with the object.

mmhh.. unfortunately it seems the last image is also suffering from the black dots problem...
