It is a basic material for design work. :wink:

Strange, if I set u and v to 0.5, than I get a nice blur, but if I use 0.5/0.05, than I see no blurness.

I think it is a bug.

In my tests as well, there is no perceivable anisotropy using different U and V values (or if it is, then it is not behaving right).

@philipbruton: In your image is no brush effect in the reflection. A brush texture is only a nice fake. U and V Roughness should work, but dosn't do it.

In my Renderman AIR example I have used u and v roughnesses for the reflection and a texture (only random stripes) for the material color. I hope, I can do it with Maxwell too.

Here I have done an other quick test with the Renderman Renderer AIR in Rhino with GI and HDRI lighting (which I miss very much in Maxwell Beta).

I have read "MXI is a Maxwell HDR format", but which HDRI formats I can convert to MXI. I have thought, it are only LDR formats.
