We are running Maxwell 1.7 on some intel macs and outputting as TGA files. These files seems to cause fcheck on the PC to hang for around 2 minutes, when they do open we see an error reported that says

"FOR4UnknownCIMG
.FOR4UnknownTBMP".

The TGA files open fine on the mac.

We have compared the TGA file using imagemagik and they appear similar.
We can pass the TGA file through shake and then they open fine on the PC then.

Is there something broken with the TGA output library on the OSX build of Maxwell? There don't appear to be many settings for outputting TGA files.

Just an idea, in PC add the file extension .tga and try to open it.

Thanks for the post, the TGA extensions are written out by the MAC.

If only it was something as simple
