Hi,

Sometimes, I need to tweak the location of an object or group by just a hair. So, I need to be zoomed way in to see what I'm doing. But the move haulers are showing up at 0,0,0 in the scene - several meters away. Since I'm moving a group - I have to use the haulers to move it.

Any idea how to do this?

Thanks,

You can have two viewports open, one showing the gizmos (I had no idea what you meant by haulers at first :D ), the other showing the group.

Yes, there's a button in the top row, right of the Scale button. Click it to move just the pivot of the object, and click it again to go back to normal move mode.

There is also a tab in the objects properties which lets you recenter or numericly adjust the pivot.

I would avoid using Studio to all costs though, I've experienced SO many crashes last year, that I do every I can (apart from pack & go) with the (c4d) plugin.

Thanks Mihai,

It would be nice to have an option whereby the gizmos :) can be drawn locally centered on the selected group/objects - or have a check box by the geometry properties to enable grouped numerical input without goofing up the group!

@Joris - I use studio a lot in vista64 with few to no crashes, I think it crashed once this week, so maybe it's a system/software issue on your computer?

I agree this would speed up things considerably when re-positioning post native software.

Maybe a fixed gizmo at the corner of the viewport that works for selected objects in world coordinate system could do. Pick and drag and it moves/rotates/scales faster or slower depending on how far you drag.
