Hi

I wonder if it possible to get a depth map when im rendering. So if i render the image sharp i can put on lens blur in photoshop?

Thanks

You can use the zbuffer channel for that, just check it in render options before rendering and you'll get a separate image of the zbuffer. The min/max distance is specified in meters.

if I need a z-depth for a displacement map, does this give better/worse/same results as doing it out of another program, like maya?

The Z buffer was the right thing to use. Another question around that.
Is it possible to get the z-buffer out after render?

Lets say i Have rendered a image and its great but I need the z-buffer. can i get it out from what i have rendered or do i need to re-render it all again?
