adrian, did you save this with an older 1.5 maxwell version (1.5.0.1)? there is a bug when saving with 0 threads. if you download the current OSX maxwell version 1.5.0.3 (in the download area since a few days) this bug is solved and it should load correctly with the maximum number of threads set automatically in any multi core mac. tested and working here.

btw. my new bench results (3dworks) are rendered correctly with 4 threads (did set it manually). sorry, no time to install and setup cinebench again... maybe can you add the old values from the previous test please?

Does this apply to the Windows version as well (i got 1.5.0)? Then i'll reinstall mine of course.

@Carsten: if you want to run the scene another time with 8 threads, i'll remove your old entry when the new one's there :)

confirmed, not matter what, mxs doesn't retain the thread.

I saved it with v1.5.0.3 and it doesn't work on mine... really strange.. I'll try with a new scene, but I doubt it will work

ivox3, I'm confused about this xp64 slowdown thing, I need to do my own 32 bit test - but with the last benchwell scene my 6400 conroe turned in a respectable 1:30 in xp64 which seemed in line with other systems in the list wether they were 32 or 64 bit. I wonder if there is something else happening in conjunction with the os causing this slowdown?

Dual cores seem to be unaffected.

What bothers me most is that since we've changed the speedtest scene, ... we have no way of benchmarking software versions (1.1 vs. 1.5), ....which is why I lobbyed to keep the same scene.

So, as we stand now --- we're only concerned with performance differences from machine to machine ( os to os) with no way to tell if were the same, slower or faster than 1.1

But I do appreciate the work Adrian has done w/the new scene and I hope we can iron on the wrinkles and start compiling some solid data. ;)

Ah, so I suppose I should be putting xp32 on my new q6600 system? (making me wonder why I bought 4gb of ram for it....)

Just the 32bit Maxwell version. 64bit Windows shouldn't affect this afaik.

Human error, computers never fail. Fixed it, apparently XP32 was selected :P

I'm surprised SmellyPenguin leads, his 2x X5355 @ 2.66 (which he added manually yet again  ) should be weaker than a MacPro Octacore which has 2x X5365 @ 3.00, unless this has anything to do with memory interleaving.

Would've been the easiest, but i contacted the 3 people involved and never got any response. So i decided not to "steal" it.

Was it there and is now gone? I have 14 entries in the db and 14 listed on the frontpage and you're not in my backup. Please try to enter it again, hopefully this doesn't happen another time.
