@che: I uninstalled v1. The installer removed everything but the license.dat file. Installed the demo and it worked right away.

@zoppo: Are you telling me you have HDRI & ML???? The HDRI map was enabled on all the three channels? If you could share a scene I'd be delighted.

In OsX you must put the licence inside Maxwell.app/Contents/MacOs at the same level of the mxcl (right click on m~r.app and choose "show contents" or something like this to navigate inside the app)
But in anyway, are you trying to use m~r with rosetta or another surprise of the demo is that it's also UB?

to be exact - in all four channels. there is no mistery about it. the only important thing is that you need at least one more emitter in the scene.

I'm not a programmer but think at rosetta as an emulator for the apps that are not rewritten in Universal Binary(like PhotoShop), but I don't know how to control this couse I dont' have a mac-intel for now :(

@Nicolas: I think in bootcasmp for now, there is one test with bootcamp in the speedtest thread and it seams realy fast ;)

Any app that ain't UB runs under rosetta emulation on the new intel macs, and anything that runs under rosetta sucks, so its better to wait for the UB's...

Well aitraaz i will have to disagree on this one, because every app that i use under rosetta is fast enough for me, but i'm coming from an imac G4 800mhz, so using now a dual core 2ghz machine has to be faster on everything right?

But i have had some minor crashes with archicad under rosetta, photoshop works great, maxwell its a lot faster, sketchup is faster.

Sure :) ...Benchmarks for CS2 on an mac Core Duo/2GZz vs iMac G5/2.1GHz:

Speed increase on intel core duo vs G5 is .45x

Hope Adobe does something *very* soon, CS3 dunno...
