Where is the compensation for us who cannot take advantage of the compensation we have been granted? What is an extra license that means you can use 4 more cores to render with for us with only 1cpu? It’s not like you can sell it and gain money on the product you’ve been given. With other words, this compensation is useless to me and therefore I’m not happy with it.

Not to forget, you have nothing they promised you yet. This date is nothing else for me than the other dates they totally screwed.

Oh, they will. I think they are coming out of their fog and trying to be respectible again. They will NOT miss this deadline. What they will release is the real question.

If V1 is released still needing some work, we'll all be here and have a reeeeaaaalllllly motivating influence on the dev. team.

If you mean feature-wise, then we shall see what we shall see. It would be nice to have them include a doc describing known issues and features to be implemented in upcoming patches.

Why are you looking only a few months in the future? If you plan to use Maxwell for any kind of professional work in the future, then I think you'll be happy in 1-2 years when you'll have use for an extra license, and you won't have to pay 1000 for it......

I usually stay out of the arguments over NL and all that, but I think this is crazy. People keep harping over how NL hasn't "cleared up the issue about the licenses yet." It's been about 24 hours since that got posted and this isn't exactly a Q&A session with the developers, it's stupid to expect immediate turn around for a question. And second, you all have said all along that Victor and the crew's english is not always the best. He probably thinks that what he said totally explained it. I doubt for a second that he would announce something as awesome as getting free licenses and purposefully make it ambiguous. I know it's stupid to join an argument, make a comment and run, but I just wanted to finally put my 2 bits in after having watched this go back and forth since September (I haven't been in the mix since the VERY beginning, but that's quite awhile).

I'm also stuck with only one computer so initially i have no use of the extra license, but that doesn't mean i'm unhappy. More like very happy since it's a great gift and if i can get more comuters later on well then the license will come in handy

Btw, i might get two old P3's from my brother to use as renderslaves, not the fastest boxes but they'll do the job.

You know what I doubt the most? A release on the date we've been promised and of what we've been promised. It's a rare chance that I'm going to exceed 4 cpu's from where I am today. Money ain't growing on trees and I’m not even up to bingo anymore.
So all of you that can take advantage of this extra license should and probably already are very happy and grateful. But what I’m promoting is an additionally option for the rest of us. Make it optionally, a free license for those that want, a boxed version without any charge or just some updates that goes above the once we are about to get.

The joy of once is the sorrow for others. I just want to be threaded equally and be as happy as all you the rest from the 26 of April and ahead.
