and finally this "diffusor" stuff - You know - this multilight features where You can change RGB of all lights in the scene - there is huge thread around this forum.

and One word about materials system , I finally managed to create saturated red plastic with beautiful specular reflection with only ONE BSDF and I felt as GOD and now this all stack system - gosh ... all learning again ...

zdeno you can still create materials like you've done in 1.7 for 2.0 the stacking material system is a add-on for more flexibility and easy blending
between layers!

Now we are talking! These are really great news! Stacking Materials are so needed. Thanks NL. How about the release date or are you guys still implementing more great features?

Hi all,

All the new features shown so far are absolutely wonderful. And Next Limit has answered with some key features that have been brought to their attention by us. Examples, thin SSS and IES implementation, to name only a couple. One key aspect I am waiting to see improved upon still is the intersection of instances issue. I use lots of plant models in clumps and they intersect a lot. I have had plants that when intersecting crash the rendering. I have always been able to isolate the plants and move them to fix the scene but it is a chore.

Anyway, I am looking forward to using v2 ASAP!

+1 from me. no more fake effect...
Does that mean we will be able to create realistic looking ceiling spot lights without the hassle of creating a parabolic reflector ?
And will this generate less noise ?
Where did I put that shoe ?

Yeah there seems some great new features coming! Though yes I would love to turn on "enable instances" or to use displacement in scenes not just for tests. Still just wishes!
