Of course my next question is, is the MAX exporter fixed so that it can actually export large poly count scenes? Because I hit that limit long before I hit the poly memory limits on the renderer...

The UI improvements and the ones described in the newsletter are more than enough for a 1.2 release... So, if there is more to come  :D  :D
NL, you did it!

I must say though that a release date or at least an estimation should be mentioned, even if we don't like it

VisualImpact wrote:3/4 of a year wait for memory management improvements and the 'lost at alpha' render resume back. Pathetic. :( :(
And if they have got any amazing features 'yet to be announced' then they better be revolutionary or what is the point of this great secrecy.

Really going to look at Fry (even with the dongle issue) if SPEED problem hasn't been addressed.

I just ordered my 8 core Mac Pro. Hope that helps reducing my rendertimes!

Sounds promisingly :)

but what about jagged shadows and problems with bump maps on curved objects? and what about lots of small white dots ale over the render increasing on higher sl levels? and what about abnormal ram consuption of maxwell materials with more layers and big textures, when the scene is loaded in 3dsmax?

In my opinion this is three gerneral problems of maxwell at this time, hope you fixed them.

hey guys which speed problem (maybe you have a too slow pc)???
the unbiased way just needs much computing power.thast natural.

fry isnt faster at least not to me. and you cant render 8000x8000px in one image.
it DOES have some other features though i miss in maxwell 1.1.

cheers
