Update of the db in the first page ;)
@deadalvs: strange apple hw you have  :)
the G5 is a dual 2.5(2 cores) or a Dual 2.5 Dual core(4 cores)?

:)

the Dual G5 has two single core processors, so just two cores... it's not a quad.
will You correct this in the list ? thanks!

has anyone an idea how the new (coming in november/december) quad xeon clovertowns will perform ? meaning with two processors and 8 cores in a system...

?

i've seen a test system result (8 cores) with cinebench 2003 which scored just crappy 1459 points ! how can this be explained ?

 but, if I remember well, there isn't a Dual G5 2.5, there was a Dual G5 2.3 and 2.7, a G5 DualCore 2.3. The 2.5 is only the Dual DualCore, isn't it?

trust me, it IS 2.5 GHz, TWO processors with each one core... they were first around.

then, the 2.7 GHz came out. a little time before, apple produced the 2.3 GHz processors for a special university deal (super computer), and afterwards, they were built into cluster nodes, the xServes and the normal dual cpu models.

so, it is 2.5 GHz...
