dd, try to apply default diffuse mats in your plugin, export the scene, then render again. I'm beginning to think these huge differences in illumination are due to how Studio interprets materials coming from the plugins, which aren't available in Studio, there is no such thing as a plastic or a dielectric material anymore. Safest thing to do is apply the simplest possible mat to your objects before export, then once imported into Studio, do all your materials there.
there are no layers in the c4d material tags, its the same as before. im sure it has to be the bounces. i would have to have the emitter at 2500wats to get it to be even close to the light from the beta 100wat emitter
lets see what NL say
tis indeed strange though
edit: from the tests i did in the studio i found that all the lights have to be really set high to get any light from them unless they are in your face close
dunno if i get more time i shall try the sheep in the studio
i tried before but studio didnt like the wool model :/
dd, it could be the camera settings are also not the same between beta and RC....I noticed before in beta when I changed the ISO, it didn't change that much the illumination, but now in RC, the cameras ISO setting is much more sensitive.
mihai: i just did a test with the camera in the studio and if i add the value 1.0 to the shutter it does indeed make it as bright(ish) as the beta version of the same picture, but the emitter is still set to 500w in the studio and 100 in the beta
still testing
