we have encoutered some alpha problems things too..
it seems for us that the alpha layer depends with the roughness-shiness of used material. The alpha layer should be given only by the geometry/ opacity, not on material settings. The alpha is also buggy when the geometry isnt unwrapped corretly, but theorically it shouldn't..



The borders aren't sharp too, it gives some clear edges on objects and they seems to be outlined.
