ARGGHH It's great all this suspense... look how everyone is reacting.
Will it have a magic button that will do everything??? Pretty Please? :D

Thanks Tom, I hope you understand why this would be confusing. All the other examples we've seen with this light adjustment feature never mentioned whether or not they were using this Emixer.

Hi Maxer,

Yes, I accept it's confusing and meanwhile you're all bored to see similar (not same) things but give it a chance when we call them they are just new. However we will also demonstrate improvements, too. Expect more this week...

Best regards,
Tom

Chris,
I had to use Windows Media Player V10 to play it.

Tom - Thanks for the heads up, it all looks great to me. A couple questions:

1. With all these great features we are going to need clear instructions as to the in's and out's of the software, is the manual up to the level of the software?

2. Being a Lightwave user I am concerned that Maxwell Render 1.0 operates with equal capability on all platforms, does it?

Thanks much, Ron

Hi Tom,

I've put in a winging message, so its fair to put in a thankyou... (sorry for clogging the thread).

Is there any confirmation on plugins, and whether animation will be working with rhino + bongo?

Thanks for the efforts,

Mark

Wow, excellent demonstration ..

Emitters over BSFD Layers:
Fantastic and as you say yet another revolutionary feature
That bulbdemo look fantastic .. I only wish you would not have uses heavy rock guitars as soundtrack, but something nice instead ;-)

NEW! MXI/HDR Environment
This is really wonderful to get MXI/HDR back .. what are the seperate channels for? Will that be possible for you do demonstrate?

NEW! Sub Surface Scattering
Wonderful! .. (the server with the picture seems to have exceeded its download capaticy?)

NEW! Anisotropy Model
Cool .. is this some sort of procedural texture (in that case the first in Maxwell)? Your image does look very good, but not quite photorealistic imho .. I guess your goal here was not photorealism (is this a preview image?).

Would it be possible for you to reproduce one of your previous beta images eg. the one with the colored cups http://img224.imageshack.us/img224/1911 ... ica1fp.jpg with Maxwell 1.0 instead to compare the basic look and feel of the rendered images?

I look very much forward to the coming days to see more of your excamples. Thanks for your great work presenting this.

This may be the best news yet, thanks Tom. I'm sure everyone is very very busy, but could you also cover which of these features will be available in the plugins and which will not be ...

Oh jeeze, come on now. Don't you take any pride in knowing these programs and enjoy taking the time to learn complex stuff that select people know how to use / have the talent to work with?

You sound like people in the office that I work in. Scary.
