SL 2 in one night :)
I'll do another test with a lower resolution, and you really need to rework your emitters :D

thanx for the effort... I'll be glad to get any resolution even 7000 pixles....

Would converting all emitters to polygons and then joining them help? That would give you only one slider in the emixer if you are using multilight and might reduce the MXI-file size / RAM consumption a lot.

am I right?

Rendered a 8000x6000 pixle image, 4 hour render with 8 nodes, merged SL of about 12, took the image through Neat Image and Genuine Fractals, interpolated it to 10000x8000.

Uploaded it here:

Im rendering a new one right now, 8000x6000 pixels, over night, I think it will reach a better SL.

thanx man I think i'm gonna use it !!!!!
the car.... maybe studio (for the pack n go) didn't read the MXS from maya's plug-in correctly, when rendering with MXCL it was ok ...

Hold on Choo, the new MXI is merging, each node has reached SL 11 so the merged SL should be pretty ok

WOW ! your machines are fast ! I use 16 3.4 Ghz cores but since on 32bit cannot render anything closer to this resolution...

Should I interpolate it to 10000x8000 with Genuine Fractals?

how did you speed up the scene, Patrik? Did you change the emitters?

No I went from 10000x8000 pixles output resolution to 8000x6000
I passed some memory-limit and suddenly the nodes reached SL 4 in just 20 min.

Though it seems like if my nodes has freezed...

One of the nodes crashed during merging..
Can I save this?

At risk of sticking my neck out I think this is a classic case of horses for courses. In 3d it is tempting to stick blindly to one solution assuming it will cater for all our needs. Despite being clearly leaps and bounds ahead in so many areas this particular brief is simply not suited to Maxwell. You could achieve an identical look albeit much cleaner with Max's built in renderer, or Vray. As a general guide complex scenes like this, and more-often-then-not scenes that are physically large require a biased solution thus permitting a level of essential control over the image topology. By topology I mean the various elements in the scene and how they affect the 'feel' of your render. In this instance I would expect light-falloff to be an essential control mechanism.

Choo, stick with that first render if you can, I have some projects I've got to fix atm, so I dont have time to fix that atm.
