There would be no time for them to code anything.....besides people had already responded to your post and offered to help, where's the problem?

Exactly 19 minutes from your post to JDHills reply....
Ok, so let say that i'm wrong...they is no problem here. It's a so fantastic and perfect world (maxwell world).
By the way, I really like Maxwell creativity and his unpredectible rendering.
I'm so bad in my design process that this software help me a lot to give its personal touch to my product. Thanks NL.

Mihai have you already think that's no more beta version but V1. I'm trying to work with that and my customer doesn't care if the software or I couldn't make something. I must give them what they are waiting for by any way and by respecting the deadline. So, yes I'm upset by the lack of interest of that problem.

Well then we're both upset :P You're upset because you feel you've been ignored (why didn't you bump the thread earlier?), and I feel upset because you try and help and no matter what you do, it's not good enough......kind of kills the motivation.

Forget about the support problem Mihai (yes it's my fault but not only... i'm serious, i mean it). What I want actually, is to find a solution to the line appearing on the product. I will upload the part soon.

I have done more test (meshing) the problem is always here. The lines start to appear at SL 11.

Hugo,

Mihai will probably have a better diagnosis ... but ...

At first glance there are some meshing problems in that part. (Particularly looking down the tube at the center). Your first render might not suggest that geometry should be involved but, in your shoes I would still try to eliminate this possibility.

Also, I am rendering a test scene using your material and so far it has reached SL8.55 and it all looks good (will wait for SL11 and see how it goes).

The IGS part looks good in Solidworks. I'm rendering something myself right now, so I can't check the mesh in Maxwell.

hyltom - have you tried this under different lighting conditions? What does it look like under just a skydome?

I've unpacked my rendering computer and have brought your IGES object and MXM into 3ds Max. It's rendering now, and so far everything looks fine. I'm just using Sky dome and a single emitter. At SL 7, it's a nice translucent blue with one of the artifacts that you have in your image. I'll let it cook till SL14 an see if anything bizarre happens.

Are you doing your rendering directly from Rhino, or are you using Studio?

I render everything from Rhino.
As you proposed, now i'm rendering with a skydome.

Here it is at SL 12 (had to stop it to do some other work).

Didn't get any of the wierd artifacts you had. Just a slight bit of banding on the right side - which would probably clear up if it's let to render for longer. This was rendered directly from Max, with just the sky dome and a single emitter to the upper left. No backdrop or floor used.

Here is my lastest test :

Same scene and geometry as my first rendering but i have removed the 3 emitter and only used environment (sky) to light the scene. No big problem so far.
