I think the beta looks better overall - more 'romantic' somehow (!)
while V1 seems slightly colder, more CG. (Still much better than RC5)

Perhaps in the last image set (flashlight) version V1 looks better.

I agree .. and wonder if it is just a different setting (not only material but also camera, light etc.) that will get the same realistic look and feel as we see in the beta renders here.

Some quite realistic V1 renders are beginning to emerge in this forum (especially product closeup renders). I keep looking for V1 renders that give me that instant "wow, this have to be a photograph" feeling.. and a few of these here are very close.
