i dont have either of the things u mentioned, but my scene was definitely scaled toooo small. I rescaled so the table is at one meter by one meter, rerendered, and heres a quickie

Looks good! I'm glad it helped. - Just remember, Maxwell is "unbiased" meaning that it simulates "real" world situations. Just like a small model ship looked "wrong" in old movies from the 30's "off scale" models will look wrong in Maxwell. :D

I think your right that the focal point is now "accidently" in the scene.
I don't know if you noticed earlier in the thread that kiethg started out with a 4 inch square table; so it NEEDED to be scaled up. Also remember that using a "Maxwell" camera is a MUST! using Maya cameras, or Cinema4d cameras or 3Ds Max cameras is a VERY bad habit to get into and will cause many more problems as Maxwell develops. (many posts here agree.)
Remember: we are going for "as real as it gets." And a 1 meter square table is far more "real" then a 4 1/4 inch square table. :D

BTW: I love your work! I'm trying to get realistic metal materials for engine part renderings and am impresed with what youve done with the "stock" maxwell materials. I also like your "studio" setup for the sunglasses.
