Honestly we don't know yet. As I told in a previous message, the 64-bit performance is very dependant on the software architecture. While ones can get a boost performance, others may not. We will see very soon.

Victor: Will the 64bit version be available for the g5 platform? The Mac comunity want to know!!!

We are studying the porting to g5 64-bits, as it seems to be exclusive for non-GUI applications. I would like to confirm this point.
