Hi , i have seen some people using ( on forum gallery ) , a mxi texture
on emitters . But on help pdf of beta version , it shows as not available .(on 3d max at least )

first , sorry about my ignorance . What is a mxi texture and how to create an archive image with that extension ? .

About mapping that texture , i supose that is like an hdri . i make an sphere with spherical map uv , and apply the texture ( emitter with the mxi ) .

On search , i was looking at some info but nothing that helps me show .

Thanks

Sorry, MXI is just being implemented while preparing this manual.
You'll have all the latest manual updates for beta in about a week.

MXI is HDR Maxwell Image Format for emitters.
Light emission textures (MXI) can be applied to emitter objects in the scene.
For now, you can build MXI textures from Maxwell Viewer using Low Range Images (bmp, tga, jpg...)
