I use Form-Z as my main app. When I render my scense for my fire station project, you can see images in wip section, from the form-z plugin everythin is fine.

I opened the scene in mxst to do pack and go to send of the render farm. I saved it and closed mxst.

I went on line to check my progress for the renderings and I noticed a lot of my instances were missing...oh s%#@!

I opend the mxs file again in mxst the instances were not missing they were all scattered around.

I did a test rendering of the mxs file before opening it up in mxst and was fine. But when I opened it in msxt to do pack and go, the file got all screwed up by mxst.

Why would this happen to my instances in msxt?

I know that in Form-Z I manually edit the origin of some of the symbols. Would this cause MXST to have problems indentifying the origins?

Hi, I am having exactly the same problems in 3dsMax. And Studio does not allow me to snap the pivot point to the centre of the object so that makes it even more frustrating moving the object when the pivot point is in the middle of nowhere.. ah well

Aaron,

I have had this exact problem from Z before. In the end I did use studio to create the pack and go but I then replaced the pack and go created mxs with the original Z created mxs and all worked well.

I think I submitted some of the troubled files to Nextlimit, not sure what the resolution was though.

Yeah..Seems to be a problem guys...

That's what I eneded up doing Gary to get around the issue. I recreated the mxs again via the pulg-in and resent it to the farm. It is now rendering properly.

Thanks,

Aaron
