Can somebody explain to me why objects are being rotated individually when they are grouped?
e.g. I have 4 1x1 planes (which each are rotated 90degrees), I select them all, group them, and they are rotated 68.4577 degrees around their own axes.
nice feature!
but now try that with a whole object consisting of over 100 parts.... what a mess...
any ideas how to solve this?

I've been fighting with this for ages...

Sorry, I'm not really helpful on this one, I do remember Tom or somebody talking about the new pivot center being set and being responsible, not sure though.
To me this has always been one of several MXST Bugs that drives me mad.
Same category: Clone an Object and try moving it, whooops there it goes into outer space...

Please someone fix these things!!!

If you have a scene, please email it to me. It usually happens if the objects have a negative scale applied, or some initial rotation/translation. But it doesn't always happen. One thing to try before grouping is selecting all objects and Center Pivot, then group them.
