Where is the best place to purchase high quality plant models?
i just purchased a plant off turbosquid that looks alright, but i had to download a trial version of 3ds max and vray just to get it. any suggestions

Thanks for the suggestions, Evermotion looks really good, xfrog looks ok, onyxtree do u have to use a special program to use them?

Nope, is an stand alone software, and for Max you have the treestorm is like a plugin where you use it inside Max (I guess). And some of them have a leaf texture maps too. You can export your models and have good control of the poly count.

I would recommend Onyxtree.
You can tailor make your trees, bushes, flowers, etc.
This is excellent for making variations of the same species. This makes your renders look more natural (different trunks, branches, leaf densities, etc.).
It is a very easy program and the meshes are top notch.

does someone know a good workflow to get onyx trees imported into sketchup using instances for the leaves and a proper mapping?
i can use 3dsmax for export... :roll:
