Hi,

I am jonathan and I'm new to this forum. I want to render a tv screen and I want to make a animation with the tv on. Does anybody knows how I can do this and what kind of animation software I need? thanks

animation should be done with a biased renderer like vray, not maxwell. The key rationale for this is two-fold - firstly the eye is much less discriminating for absolute realism when viewing a moving image, and secondly biased renderers are about 10 times faster in real terms which matters alot unless you have a 100 node render farm of course!

Typically for an animation with a 'live' tv in scene, I green screen the monitor and post process the video into the screen in after effects. Works well for me.

this could work in a full day light scene, but if emitting power of tv screen will influence illumination of the room... there's no way.
