Is there any way when using displacement to "wrap" a map around the displaced edge?

I have a displaced roof tile texture and i would love to have the mottled colour map show to the tile edge rather than the stripped edge that seems to result from the colour map being projected down the edge!

Thanks eddy experts for any help!

You could make a displacemnt map that makes an edge that is slightly larger than 90° to avoid the striped pattern, and apply a pattern map that looks correct when projected on this surface (edge surface)... theoretically it should work. :)

Thanks Kurt I knew you'd have something of an answer! Not so much the one I wanted. I played a with it a little this afternoon (oh yeah with the texture too:)! ) and blurred the last few pixels of the colour map to correspond with the edge of the displacement.

Looks ok though not perfect!

That really does look very good....would you be willing to share your mxm? That would save a ton of modeling.
