I'd love to have a full plug-in, mainly for animations and dynamics. That'd be neat.

markps wrote:How do you do the work flow when you have to change some mesh on the Studio? Do you have to re-import, pose and assign materials ?

Aminations, motion blur are out of question right?
No animation or Mblur.

I edit mesh in Blender and then re-import to studio. The import options for same named mesh objects, means I don't have to worry about re-aligning a fixed mesh, or re-assigning materials, uv etc.

Yeah use of the physics engine with Maxwell would be great.

Unless Maxwell will be able to import animated mesh outputs, the same that Blender uses for fluid sims. One new mesh created per frame.

HI Tim, in that case... not even real flow is directly compatible with maxwell.

I think in a marketing perspective, they want to keep maxwell directed to static images due to its speed, so it wouldn't make sense support real flow right now.

Anyway blender support would rock the world for a lot of people

Any news regarding the long awaited Blender Plugin? It looks very much as if I will be changing from xsi to Blender. Normally I use Rhino but being able to use Blender too would be very welcome. Why use Blender when I have Rhino? Lots of reasons, flythroughs, baking, unlimited render licenses. So having the modell in Blender, either through the very very neat pipeline Rhino->DXF->new DXF Importer from Blender I would be very flexible, I could use one modell to make my Maxwell stills, Blender Animations or when a tight deadline like I had one reacently, simply render quickly in Blender.

Please do consider a plugin for Blender!!

Best regards
Phil

/agree 100%
Maxwell was advertized as going to have a Vue plug-in, a major reason why I bought it :(

For blender exporter, after some research it might be doable through python script or mod so i'll look deeper into it when have the time (not now :D !). It could be a nice complement to M~R studio..

This would be fantastic! There is already a Blender Script for the Vray-Demo out there. But unfortunately I don't have VRay...
And the more I use Blender the more I love it. I did some work with xsi yesterday and had great difficulties, I missed the fast workflow and stability of Blender.

You would be many peoples hero if you would succeed with the Blender-Maxwell Script :D

sure it would be nice, but might not be successfull so wait and see.. :)

but there is no reason why it shouldn't be successfull
If it's possible with VRay why not with Maxwell?
