Hello

I am trying to render a straight on ortho view. I think the only way to do this in Maxwell at a resolution of at least 3000x 2000 is to have a long focal lenght but every thing i try results in a very blurry rendering. What am i missing.

thank you

Have you try opening your scene in studio and using the front/side elevation button?

Right now I'm doing a test and seems to be in focus...

Is that what you want, or do you want an axonometric?
If what you want is an axonometric, I would make sure that the object that I want in focus is aim, and then I would use something like a 300-400mm lens with a +32 f-stop
(higher f-tops would increase the focus area)

this was a test with a 400mm and 32 f-stop

Nice render Leo. What are you using for your roof tiles? are they 3d?
real nice looking.

I did click on the front button but i was not able to change the resolution. It always rendered at screen resolution and i need it to be much larger for a printed presentation.

Great model by the way.

thanks

What I usually do is set a camera far, far away. Just have to take care to place camera target where model is. From studio you could use autofocus (or focus selected, or something like that).

That's what I do. If it is out of focus, you need to make sure the camera focus point is on your subject.

I'm wondering if when you launch a render from studio from, for example, top view, does it generate a temp mxs? If it does you should be able to load it on mxcl, change resolution and relaunch.

Thanks everyone. After several tweaks I got it to look like a straight on elevation. Thanks for all of your help. It would be nice if we could do it straight from the front or sides views and set a resolution.

Thanks again
