I posted this on the Maxwell/Form-Z section but there is not much action over there. So, I am moving it here. So, sorry if you have seen it twice..all 13 of you. HAHAHA


Can someone give me an explanation on how to do this, make an object and material ID pass. I tried toggling it the same way I do to get the alpha backgrounds. But there are no files in the output folder for the object and material ID's after the rendering is produced. So, something tells me it is not that simple. I found nowhere in the manual explaining how to do this. It just said what it was and produced. Silhouettes.

Any help appreciated.

You would simply need to turn on Material ID channel from the render options. You will then get an extra image file where every different material has different coloration. The image file should be in the same folder as your main render. If you're not getting the material ID image, try opening the scene in Studio and see if the matID channel is still checked.

Thanks. I'll check it out in studio and send the scene from there. Because I am not getting the ID images when checked from Form-Z through the plugin, accept the alpha file, I get that image fine. I'll post what happens.
